New Deal

The PWMN New Deal is our response to the increasingly unfair practices of the corporate music industry. Our New Deal will prove that quality music can be produced and made available to the general public at a realistic price while the artist retains creative control and receives a fair share for their work

At the same time, we are taking a radical stand against piracy by pricing our music at or below counterfeit and illegal cds. The New Deal is an active effort to encourage people to purchase music, who would otherwise only download freebies, or who refuse to support corporate profiteering by paying high street commercial prices for cds.

We invite all the artists on the Music Net to submit a New Deal recording. The New Deal cds can be compilations of tracks from albums already produced by the artists, EPs, singles or even unique albums.

Participation or non-participation in the New Deal will not effect the current agreement the artist has with the PeaceWork Music Net or the support we give you. The New Deal artists, just like the other Music Net artists, will receive 50% of all sales of their work and will still make more per cd than if they were signed to a major label.

All New Deal cd pricing and packaging is listed below. Artists may submit their own artwork for both the package and the label or may choose to use our generic packaging which will include their album name, name of the group, and a track list.

Our low New Deal pricing opens the door for the renaissance of the single which has been a financial liability in recent years, and offers the opportunity for artists and labels alike to release thier works in this classic format!

All New Deal pages will be cross-linked with the artist's album page and vice-versa with an "also by" statement. This, in essence, will double your onsite exposure.

PeaceWork Music spearheaded this New Deal, but it is you, the individual artists and labels, that will make it a success.

• Albums (10 or more tracks) priced $8.49 to $9.99
• Albums (8 or 9 tracks) priced $5.99 to $7.99
• EPs (4 to 7 tracks) priced at $2.49 to 5.49.
• Singles (1 to 3 tracks) priced at 99 cents to $1.99

• Black and white paper sleeves and label.*
• 600dpi laser printing with full resolution grayscale graphics.
• Full resolution, exact duplication audio.

* Albums priced 5.99 and higher will be "standard" packaging; full color cardboard sleeves, full color labels.
