OK..Track Across America or TAA came about 5 years ago when EvO:R founder Charlie Harrelson wanted to create a track sharing project via the Internet. Musicians from anywhere could join in and make great music together without having the formal restraints s/a time and distance. This was the single basic idea that got EvO:R (www.evor.com) off the ground. How does this whole thing work?
One musician would record some music on a 4 track or digital home studio, and send the tracks to another musician ( It could also be the foundation tracks s/a bass and drums or keyboards). The next musician is responsible for adding another track, then sends the song to another artist, and so on. The artist that has the music is in total control of the arrangement. This way each person gets to create their own vision of the direction that each song will be going.

How many musicians can get involved in one song?
Normally we try to keep the number to two or three. This allows each artist a chance to be totally involved in the process. We also depend on each artist to work fast so the momentum never slows down. After every track is completed the song is mailed back to EvO:R so we can make a master and a slave copy. This way if something is lost in the mail we still have a song to work with. Plus, it helps to protect the artists creative content because we had proof of who did what.

How do musicians get involved in this?
At this point we only have involvement via members of the EvO:R organization. We are currently attempting to broaden this horizon to anyone that whats to join but a few stumbling blocks are in the way so we are keeping everything "in house" for now.

Will additional TAA projects be started?
